This story fascinated me It was a little look into a world I m not familiar with both historically and culturally The author was one of a huge Chinese Canadian family living in BC before the second world war It s a true story but reads like a novel of short childhood tales, and the author has shared her father s celebrated photos of depression era BC, so it s a beautiful book, too Worth purchasing.
