Big Flavor indeed Fobel used to be editor of Food and Wine a fantastic magazine and then a contributing editor to Cooking Light He's written many cookbooks and his Old Fashioned Baking Book was cited as one of the best cookbooks of the ear by the James Beard Foundation Big Flavors has no pictures unfortunately but it does have a wide array of very flavorful and diverse recipes from all over the world You will need a well stocked pantry to cook from this book which should not be a problem in this day and age but probably was a big impediment in 1995 when this book was published
